• THIS ACTION WILL HAVE CONSEQUENCES: Heart of the Forest (2026)

Heart of the Forest is a 2026 FMV game developed by German developer Trapped Predator and published by Wales Interactive. It’s billed as an interactive horror movie, and that’s a fairly accurate description. Four young hikers, Laura, Anna, Nick and Simon, venture into the Black Forest, and before long they’re lost, paranoid and being stalked…

  • THIS ACTION WILL HAVE CONSEQUENCES: lily’s world XD (2026)

lily’s world XD is a found-laptop mystery game by SonderingEmily. Like the Simulacra series, which applies a similar approach to a found phone, the game presents you with a functioning OS and links to files, voice notes, photos and websites. It’s a little overwhelming at first, but as you sift through the information on the…

Simulacra 3 is actually the fifth entry in a series of “found phone” games by Malaysian developer Kaigan Games. The franchise began with Sara Is Missing and, alongside the three mainline titles, includes the spin-off Simulacra: Pipe Dreams. While each entry tells a standalone story, they all share a common antagonist and a central premise: you’ve found a phone…

  • THIS ACTION WILL HAVE CONSEQUENCES: Unhinged (2026)

Unhinged Not to be confused with the Russell Crowe road-rage movie of the same name, Unhinged is a Netflix-exclusive title that turns your actual smartphone into a controller, a flashlight, and Zoë Kravitz’s phone. The premise is straightforward: Ava (voiced by Kravitz) is trying to evacuate her apartment building while on the line with her friend Claire…
